Review: This movie reminded me why I loved Eddie Murphy in the first place. It surpassed my every expectation. Eddie Murphy was in top gear, Ben Stiller was in top gear, but the biggest surprises came from Gaby Sidibe and Matthew Broderick. They made me laugh just as much as our lead characters. The movie is over the top. Lots of unexpected twists and turns. If your looking for a well thought out, logical heist movie, don't bother going to see this. If your just looking for pure fun and laughs, this movie is for you. A great cast, good directing, silly plot, and just pure entertainment. Go see this movie, you'll love it!!

So, Cotton decides this is the one he will prove himself on, and heads out the door to Louisianna.
When he arrives at Marcus\' house, he goes through all the initial acts, listening to stories and bull-sh*ting himself to an honest man, who is scared for his daughter. All the tests go as planned, and Cotton\'s staged exorcism is set to commence. Through a set of cleverly arranged trip lines and magnets, Cotton performs a very entertaining exorcism, and gets the family to believe he has abolished the demon. He leaves the family satisfied, fully confident that he has proved why exorcisms are all in the mind. Cotton\'s exorcism was undoubtedly funny, from the fake demon noises to the over the top performance from Cotton himself. Just like what you\'d see from the book.
When Nell shows up at Cotton\'s hotel, unannounced and in the middle of the night, signals go off that something is wrong. I saw it at my local Odeon last night, the only cinema in town showing it, and I strongly suspect it won\'t be on next week. This is an example of a really good British film from a director with a strong pedigree not getting the kind of publicity and public interest that is frequently given to the most heinous rubbish that Hollywood can produce. Granted, many people don\'t share my director-centric view of forthcoming features; I\'m prepared to risk getting my fingers burned occasionally in avidly chasing any films made by a select bunch of my favourite directors, but my approach is usually rewarded with excellence, like Centurion. In structure it is a very simple story, beautifully shot and honestly told. The bloody battles are very realistic - you get a good feel for what it might actually have been like to fight hand-to-hand in ancient times, frantic and deadly. There are more funny moments - laugh out loud moments than you\'d expect. Without giving away any jokes for enjoyment - there were a lot of things to make fun of and the contemporary references were spot on. For this kind of movie they did as good a job as possible given the subject matter.
