James Bonomo (Sylvester Stallone) is a hit-man, hired to take out a corrupt cop. The mission goes to plan, only for his partner to get slain by an assassin who tries to follow suit with him. Taylor Kwon (Sung Kang), a cop assigned to investigate the deaths of Bonomo's contract and partner, also ends up facing an attempt on his life. Bonomo and Kwon find they are both being targeted by Bonomo's former employers, headed by corrupt property magnate Robert Morel (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), who consider them loose ends and must work together to bring them down.
