Holby City: Linden sat in confessional and told the story of how he chased Faye to Cape Town with Joseph. It began when Jac said she suspected Faye was in trouble. Linden felt compelled to get involved but felt guilty about letting someone down. At Holby, Joseph received a call from Faye in South Africa. She was distressed and needed his help. She said that if they didn't do something, 'he would die'. They got cut off when Joseph's battery died, so he assumed Faye was talking about her first husband, Lucas. Joseph claimed he'd given up on Faye, but later discovered Linden was going to Cape Town to help her, so decided to go too. Once there, they located Faye's address and broke in, finding photos of Lucas and Faye. Lucas was her husband but he was gay. They found the cleaner who revealed that Faye had been crying about 'Archie' and had been taken away by Lucas' henchmen, Gavin and Johnny Boy. At the township, Linden and Joseph were held at gunpoint, but were eventually freed. The next day, Linden and Joseph found a DVD showing Faye with her sick son, Archie. They met with Faye and discovered her unharmed. She apologised for lying, explaining that she came to Cape Town looking for Lucas, who had taken her son. They rushed to the hospital where Lucas had taken Archie for a risky operation. They confronted Lucas, who said he just wanted the best for his boy. Joseph stepped in to assist the surgeons and saved Archie's life. Linden later revealed to Faye that he has a daughter he can't bear to see. In wishing he could be Faye's hero, Linden had betrayed his late wife.
