Initial D: The race begins between Takumi and Daiki. In the first round of the pursuit-styled race, Takumi is the leader, and Daiki is the pursuer. A wise choice for Daiki as he gets to study Takumi's driving style; however, Ryosuke has a strategy for Takumi involving two simple pieces of advice. The first is "Don't look back." The second involves shifting gears at 9000 RPM. As long as Takumi sticks with that, he will have a chance to draw on the first round and possibly win in the second. But will Daiki figure it out in time?
