The Flying Doctors : Tragedy strikes when there is a plane crash. Baxter, Chris, Gibbo and too drunk to fly pilot Ted are in a celebratory mood as they fly back from Windoona where Emma has just been crowned Queen of The Out Back but the mood quickly turns sour when there is engine trouble and the plane catches alight. Following an emergency landing, everyone seems to be alright. However, Gibbo is fatally injured. Despite operating on him, he later dies from a cardiac arrest. Meanwhile the District has a newly elected M.P.:George Baxter.
