The Flying Doctors : Chris offers a helping hand and takes in teenager Zoe when her parents are involved in an accident. When the tragedy reaches extreme heights, Chris offers to take Zoe in on a more permanant basis. Due to cutbacks in the RFDS, Sam is forced to move out of the pub and in with Violet in an attempt to cut costs. However, Vic and Nancy are not eager to let Sam go and a battle ensues as to who Sam will stay with. Sam is angry to hear that he has only been given another 6 month probation.
