When the hit and run victim from one of Tess' former cases awakes from a coma, Sunny encourages Tess to track down new leads even though she's no longer on the force. Tess' ex-partner Jake Campbell inherits Tess' case files along with a new partner, Leo Li, who is quick to dismiss the case as a dead end.
